Fair Byggepris

This application, Fair Byggepris, is based on a business idea from a friend. It’s an online calculator designed to help people estimate the cost of building projects. Often, you receive multiple offers from builders, but it can be hard for a private individual to know if the prices are reasonable. With this tool, users can input a builder's task list into the calculator to check if the quoted price is fair and competitive.

My role in this project was to design the UX and UI for the calculator. Drawing from my extensive experience creating similar apps, I was able to build on past learnings to create an intuitive and user-friendly design.

NFT - Voxel Horror Collection

Like many others during the peak of the NFT craze, I saw it as an exciting opportunity. I created a collection of horror-themed toy collectibles, inspired by the popularity of exclusive, rare toys in real life. The horror theme allowed me to tap into a wide range of creative material and design unique, imaginative characters.

To bring the project to life, I used MagicaVoxel, a simple and fun open-source 3D tool. It was a great experience experimenting with 3D modeling and creating something tangible. Unfortunately, my timing was less than ideal—the NFT market crashed just a month after the launch. Despite that, it was incredibly satisfying to see the project go live and learn from the process.

Rootmap

Rootmap was a business idea sparked by a co-worker. We were both frustrated with the complexity of tools like Jira and envisioned creating a simpler, more functional alternative. What began as a straightforward idea quickly snowballed into a feature-heavy project. Despite our best efforts, even the MVP became too complex to execute, and we ultimately had to put the project on hold. While it didn’t reach completion, it was a really fun project to work on.

Etsy Poster shop

At the start of the AI image generation era, I, like many others, explored ideas for building a business around this emerging technology. My solution, like many others, was to create a poster shop on Etsy. While this was just a small-scale project and not a particularly groundbreaking idea, it was an exciting way to experiment with new technology. Exploring how to leverage cutting-edge tools, even in simple ways, is always a rewarding experience.
